Human Rights and Civil Liberty
We work to protect the constitutional rights of Infdian Muslims, thereby upholding the rights of all Indians in accordance with Indian Constitution and UN Human Rights Charter.
IMCR advises through our team, legal advisors and local members on behalf of Indian Muslims and others Weaker Sections who have experienced violations of their Human Rights and Civil liberties, including Discrimination and Hate crimes. IMCR defends Human Rights and Civil Rights, through advocacy, litigation, and public campaigns. Our task is to make sure that we can work smarter, faster, and safer in coordination with other affiliates and alliances and Government Representatives.
IMCR is Calling on the Indian Government for :-
- Government should prohibit all forms of discrimination and violence against Muslims and other Minorities.
- Government must stop using arbitrarily the criminal laws such as UAPA and NSA.
- Police must stop arbitrary Arrests of Muslims & other minorities, physical assaults during detention and long arbitrary detention without Trial.
- Government must stop Persecution of Muslims in the name of Cow Slaughter, Anti-conversion Law, Love Jihad and Triple Talaq etc.
- Government must stop patronizing the Hindu Right Wing People and Organizations, and should take action against those, who are threatening, attacking, vilifying the Muslims in the name of Rohingyas, Bangladeshis and Pakistanis.
- Government must protect Muslims and other minorities from attacks, and stop providing political patronage and cover for bigotry.
- Government must withdraw the politically motivated charges including terrorism and sedition against Activists, Students, Opposition Politicians release the Victims who are in custody.
- Restore the constitutional autonomy and statehood to pre 2019 status to the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
- Government must stop arbitrary interference in the Educational institutions of Minorities such as; AMU Aligarh, Jamia Millia Islamia etc.
- Government must remove the Muslim Heritage buildings (Masjid, Madarsa, Schools etc.) from control of National Monuments Archaeological Sites Act 1958.
