07-Nov-2024: Inter-Faith Dialogue at IICC New Delhi India

An inter-faith dialogue with leaders of various minority communities, as well as religious leaders of various communities, was organised on 7 November 2024 at the India Islamic Cultural Centre, New Delhi, in collaboration with IICC.
It was attended by former Major General Javed Iqbal; former Chief Justice of the Patna High Court, Iqbal Ahmad Ansari; former Chief Election Commissioner S. Y. Qureshi; former LG of Delhi, Najeeb Jung; Acharya Vivek Muni; Swami Hitkari Ji; Acharya Yeshi Phontsuk; Imran Masood; Kisan Neta Choudhary Pushpendra Singh; Arun Kumar, Advocate, Allahabad High Court; former Union Minister Salman Khurshid; Sanjay Singh, AAP; Ms. Susan Schumacher, Social Activist; Father Isaac; Father Thomas; Ratan Lal, Activist; Vinod Agnihotri, Editor, Amar Ujala; Santosh Bharti, renowned journalist and ex-MP; Naveen Kumar, Journalist; Khalid Khan; Anzarul Bari; Dr. Azam Baig; Syed Masood Hussain; and many other eminent members.

The speakers broadly agreed that all of us should put up a united fight against the violation of civil and constitutional rights of the people. In the context of the Waqf Amendment Bill, 2024, there was a consensus that the bill is not in the interest of Waqf and should be opposed tooth and nail. It was also agreed that such inter-faith meetings should be held at regular intervals.
